Elijah, above, with Carrot Cake Pancakes that he made in the Virtual Teaching Kitchen.
When fourth-grader Elijah first attended a Vetri Community Partnership EAT360 class at his school, he was inspired to go home and share his learning with his mom, Lauren. The class inspired him to learn more about cooking and food, so he enrolled in Vetri Cooking Lab, an out-of-school time culinary and nutrition education program offered at his school through Vetri Community Partnership.
Now, with summer approaching, Vetri Community Partnership wants to offer 120 students just like Elijah the opportunity to be inspired by cooking and food. This new six-week program will provide kids in our city the same high-quality cooking and nutrition education that Elijah received.
